Public Transport
Travelling to Ibiza Airport by car is simple as only one road leads to the airport, namely the PM-801. Motorists travelling to the airport from the PM-803 will need to exit at kilometre 4. There is no railway service in Ibiza and passengers who want to rely on public transportation will have to make use of the regular bus service. bizabus line 10 leaves Ibiza Airport every half an hour between 07:20 and 22:50, taking passengers directly to Ibiza city’s bus terminal, which is located at the Avenida Isidoro Macabich. The main bus stop is located in front of the Arrivals hall and the fare is cheap, while the journey takes 30 minutes. Once in the city, passengers can take buses on to destinations such as San Antonio, St Rafael, St Jordi de ses Salines, Santa Eulalia, Cala Llonga and Santa Agnes.
Airport Taxis
Airport Taxis can be found in front of the Arrivals hall and all taxis have meters. The typical fare to the city of Ibiza lasts for around 20 minutes. On arrival in Ibiza taxi's are available from the rank directly outside the arrival hall. All taxi's in Spain are required to start the metre at the start of your journey. In high season lengthy queues are possible.Airport Tranfers If you're not looking to hire a car for the duration of your holiday the most cost effective way of getting to the resort/hotel can be with resort transfer bus. On arrival in Ibiza you will be directed to your coach and then transfered to your hotel. The coach companies will often have people traveling to various resorts/hotels so please understand that you may not be transfered directly to your chosen hotel.
Ibiza Airport Shops
Ibiza Airport offers passengers a selection of duty-free and regular shops, which can be found throughout the airport at carefully designated spots. Passengers who are jetting away will also be able to claim money back off expensive purchases at the airport’s VAT refund counter. Most of the shops at Ibiza Airport are located on the first floor, with a selection both before and after security. These shops sell a wide range of products, from local produce to souvenirs, gifts and reading material. The Aldeasa Duty Free shop is also located on the first floor and stocks everything from perfume to jewellery and designer clothing. A large number of eateries can be found in Ibiza Airport’s Departures Hall, including Ben & Jerry’s, Café Café coffee shop, Cafeteria Dalt Vila and Cafeteria Ibiza, all of which provide a range of drinks and snacks to be consumed by those waiting for their flight. There are also a selection of other snack shops and restaurants located in the Arrivals area of the airport. There are a good number of banking facilities located at Ibiza airport, including several ATMs, banks and a bureau de change. Passengers will also find a post office in the Arrivals area and a range of business facilities. Ibiza Airport caters for disabled passengers and there are special toilets, ramps and parking spaces here as well as trained staff on hand to aid and assist. Flights to Ibiza are mainly available over the summer months with scheduled airlines like British Airways, Easyjet, Jet2 and Ryanair operating regular flights. There are also of course many charter flights flying throughout the year. From Scotland, scheduled flights go from Edinburgh and Glasgow with Jet2. Alternative flights by various charter companies go from Edinburgh, Glasgow Prestwick, and Aberdeen. From the North East of England there are direct flights from Durham and Newcastle although they are not very frequent. You will find a better selection of flights if you head a little further south to Leeds or Doncaster/Sheffield. The International Airport at Manchester has a large number of flights going to Ibiza for anyone living across the pennines. The biggest provider of all Ibiza Flights over the summer is probably Tui who have flights to Ibiza from a number of airports which include small regional airports such as Belfast, Bournemouth, Durham, and Liverpool. The Midlands is an easy place to get flights to Ibiza from. You have the choice of flying from Coventry, Birmingham, or Nottingham. All the flights take around 2½ hours. London is the easiest place for you to find a flight to Ibiza. Regular flights go from Gatwick, Stansted, and Luton. British Airways flights from Gatwick are available throughout the whole year. Further to the South West of England you are able to find regular flights to Ibiza from Bristol and Cardiff. Whenever you are travelling to Spain, no matter what time of year, Ibiza will always be one hour ahead of the UK.
